By using AwayDays, you agree to these terms. They're written in plain English — please read them.
What AwayDays is
AwayDays (getawaydays.co) is a football tourism web application that helps fans discover fixtures worldwide, track grounds visited, plan trips, and manage travel documents. It is operated by Alexander Baxendale, Berlin, Germany.
AwayDays is a discovery and planning tool. We are not a ticket seller, travel agent, or booking platform. When you click through to third-party booking services (hotels, trains, flights, tickets), you are entering into a relationship with that third party, not with AwayDays.
Using the app
You may use AwayDays for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the app or its APIs
- Use the app in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its functionality
- Use automated tools to access the app at a rate that exceeds normal human usage
- Misrepresent your identity or provide false information in your profile
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users through the social features
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
There is no minimum age requirement, but if you are under 16, you should obtain parental consent before creating a profile or providing personal data.
Accounts and data sync
Creating an account allows your data — grounds visited, saved fixtures, trips, and ticket wallet — to sync across your devices via our servers (Supabase, EU region). You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You may only create one account per person.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Social features
AwayDays includes optional social features including friend connections and trip collaboration. By using these features, you agree to:
- Only send friend requests to people you know or who have consented to receive them
- Use trip collaboration features in good faith — adding fixtures relevant to the shared trip
- Respect other users' privacy settings
You can block any user at any time. Blocked users cannot interact with your profile or content. We reserve the right to remove any user who misuses the social features.
Trip ownership is always retained by the creator. Collaborators can add fixtures and leave a trip, but cannot rename, delete, or take ownership of a trip they did not create.
Email parsing feature
If you choose to use the email parsing feature, you grant AwayDays permission to access and process booking confirmation emails you provide or forward to the service. This permission is:
- Strictly limited to extracting travel details (flights, trains, hotels, match tickets) to populate your trip folders and ticket wallet
- Revocable at any time — you can disconnect the integration from your account settings
- Not used for any other purpose — your email content will not be read, stored, analysed, or shared beyond what is needed to extract your booking information
You warrant that you have the right to provide the emails you share with us, and that doing so does not violate any third party's rights or any applicable law.
Fixture data accuracy
Fixture data is sourced from API-Football (api-sports.io). While we make reasonable efforts to display accurate and up-to-date information, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of fixture data.
Always verify fixture details directly with the club or official source before travelling. Fixtures can be rescheduled, postponed, or cancelled. AwayDays accepts no liability for travel costs incurred due to fixture changes.
Location data (stadium coordinates) is sourced from OpenStreetMap/Nominatim and our own curated database. Venue locations are approximations and may not be exact.
Affiliate links and third-party services
AwayDays contains affiliate links to third-party booking services including Booking.com, Omio, Trainline, GetYourGuide, and Skyscanner. Match ticket links go directly to each club's official website. When you click these links and make a purchase, AwayDays may receive a commission at no additional cost to you.
We have no control over the pricing, availability, or terms of third-party services. Any dispute regarding a booking made through an affiliate link should be raised directly with that service provider.
Inclusion of a third-party service in AwayDays does not constitute an endorsement of that service.
User content
Content you create in AwayDays — profile information, trip names, ground photos, ticket wallet entries, and feedback — remains your property. By submitting content, you grant AwayDays a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and (in the case of social features) share that content with other users in accordance with your privacy settings.
You are responsible for ensuring any content you submit does not infringe third-party rights. You must not upload content that is illegal, offensive, or violates another person's privacy.
Ground photos you upload are visible to users who can see your grounds list, based on your privacy settings (public, friends only, or private). Ticket wallet contents are always private.
Intellectual property
The AwayDays name, logo, ticket design, and brand identity are the property of Alexander Baxendale. You may not use these without written permission.
Football club names, badges, and colours referenced in the app belong to their respective clubs and organisations. AwayDays makes no claim of ownership over third-party intellectual property.
Fixture data is provided under licence from API-Football. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors under the Open Database Licence.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
AwayDays is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We are not liable for:
- Inaccurate fixture data leading to wasted travel or expense
- Service interruptions or downtime
- Loss of data resulting from account deletion or infrastructure failure
- Actions or failures of third-party booking services
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app
- Actions of other users via the social or collaboration features
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of AwayDays is limited to €100 or the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, whichever is less.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using AwayDays, you agree to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes to the service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of AwayDays at any time with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of AwayDays after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Berlin, Germany, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence apply.
If you are a consumer in the EU, you also have the right to use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Our email for ODR purposes is hello@getawaydays.co.
